    Services

After researching existing services and surveying the community to determine the most current needs, the Junior League of Arlington has selected Abuse Prevention as the focus area for our funding and volunteer efforts. Our goal is to build strong healthy children, women, and families through education, training, and support, and to work collaboratively within the community to prevent the devastating consequences of abuse. We invite you to join us in accomplishing these goals.

There are three opportunities to partner with or receive assistance from the Junior League of Arlington:

    • Submit an application for a 2017-2018 Community Project
    • Submit an application for a 2016-2017 Done In A Day Event
    • Make a request for emergency funding in 2016-2017 through submitting a Community Assistance Application

    COMMUNITY PROJECTS

The Junior League of Arlington (JLA) makes a difference in the community by providing trained volunteers to non-profit agencies that align with our focus area. Some of the agencies also receive funding for important projects. Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) or government entity and your proposal must include volunteer opportunities for our members to serve at least 60 hours. The time frame for these volunteer placements is June 1, 2017, through May 31, 2018. All applications must be submitted by October 21, 2016.

    DONE IN A DAY

Does your agency have an upcoming event or special project and you would like to make a request for the assistance of JLA trained volunteers? Done in a Day (DIAD) is intended to respond to community needs, which can be completed on a short-term basis, or within one day. The Junior League of Arlington does not provide any supplies or funding for such projects, only volunteers. The time frame for this opportunity is June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017.
